TIPS FOR DREAM RECALL
(With acknowledgment to Jeremy Taylors Where People Fly and Water Runs Uphill} |

| 3. Write down a key word, phrase, or image if you cant (arent awake enough or dont have time enough) record the rest of the dream. These keys are often all you need to recall the rest of the dream later. |

| 1. Have a clear intention that you wish to remember your dreams. This intention is significantly aided by ongoing participation in a dream group, in telling dreams to friends, in reading about dreams. When we are in an environment that supports dreaming and honors dreams, we are likely to recall our dreams. Before going to sleep it can help remind yourself of your intention to dream. |

4. Keep a dream journal. This can include sketches and drawings of dreams, as well as your written account of dreams. It is also a good idea to keep comments, observations and interpretations of your dreams here. |

| 2. Always have tools for recording dreams accessible to your bedside. Most dreamers find that pen and paper are adequate to record dreams, whether it is a simple phrase or fragment captured in the night when barely awake, or a more extensive accounting upon awakening in the morning. It is also a good idea to arrange for lighting that is easy to turn on and off, such as a small flashlight or pin light. Some dreamers favor using a tape-recorder but this can be cumbersome, and isnt advisable when one has a sleeping partner. |

| 5. Give a title to your dream. This will help you retrieve a specific dream in your journal once you have recorded many dreams. The best titles are those that point to a critical image or events in your felt sense of the heart of the dream, i.e. running from the purple monster rather than an analytic interpretation such as procrastinating again. |

| 6. Take Vitamin B.Studies have shown that this can increase probability and frequency of recall. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
